Our Story — The Chic Soul Store

We started with one obsession.

Assam has given India — and the world — some of its most extraordinary humans. Warriors who repelled empires. Saints who shaped civilizations. Poets who became freedom fighters. Scientists. Singers. Queens.

And yet, walk through any mall in Guwahati and you will find a thousand t-shirts with New York skylines, Paris coordinates, and motivational quotes in English. But almost nothing that says: I am Assamese, and I am proud of where I come from.

That gap bothered us.

So we built something for it.

The Chic Soul Store launched as a tribute to Zubeen Garg — Assam's most beloved voice. One collection. One legend. One city's pride.

The response told us something. People were hungry for this. They wanted to wear Assam. They wanted to carry their culture without it feeling like a folk costume or a tourist trinket. They wanted something premium. Something wearable. Something they would reach for on a Monday morning.

So we expanded. Collection by collection. Legend by legend.

What we believe.

Culture does not preserve itself. It survives because people choose to carry it. Every time someone wears a Lachit Borphukan tee to class, a Zubeen Garg graphic to a concert, a rhino print to the airport — they are making a small, daily act of cultural pride.
